Q: How long is the target area for TILIING?

A: About 1500bp is suggested (Sequenced in both directions can be measured). Special circumstances the target area can be increased to 2000bp. However, with the length of target area, the risk of the screening and the trouble of identification the phenotype would be increased. The minimum length is according to the length of the target gene, not less than 800bp generally. The quantity of mutants will be reduced with the target area decreased.
